Payments are not being sent to my Payout address

Payments are not being sent to my Payout address. What could be the issue here?

Mining address: 0xc1a5b2e4b842b139f1f57601e0d38b764feb65b0
Payout address: 0x290b4b2c0b60c37f829fd402529a997dbf4b027a

Same with me. Payout address wasn’t getting transfers from the mining key. Took me a bit of time to figure out how to SSH (Windows people RDP) but I think I got it updated:

It’s not clear at the end of the update whether that’s all that’s required. For instance, do I need to restart a service/daemon?

Also, are you guys planning to just have the node self-update with critical fixes, so there is no administration overhead for the must-have updates?

Also, this Ubuntu instance says there are 101 packages that can be updated. Do they need to be? If so, how? I’m used to the Windows world where WU takes care of it for me.

Best, Michael

Michael,

Took me a bit of time to figure out how to SSH (Windows people RDP) but I think I got it updated:
Good. Please let me know if the modification worked for you and funds moved from mining account to the payout account. The script scheduled to run once a day https://github.com/oraclesorg/test-templates/blob/AlphaTestTestNet/TestTestNet/mining-node/install.sh#L335 (FYI)

It’s not clear at the end of the update whether that’s all that’s required. For instance, do I need to restart a service/daemon?

There is no need to restart parity daemon. The payout script works as a cron job daily. You can reboot the host.I see there is a message System restart required in your log. So you can reboot for a reason.
We plan to create an additional instruction how to keep your keys and mining node healthy and safe.

Your node will install security updates automatically. https://github.com/oraclesorg/test-templates/blob/AlphaTestTestNet/TestTestNet/mining-node/install.sh#L340 (FYI)
Although, you need to restart your node to apply security updates.

I’m used to the Windows world where WU takes care of it for me.

We will prepare an image with mining node for Windows platform when we will have more resources. We have good experience with Azure and hope to help the same with Windows Servers on Azure.

Yep, after the update the ETH did end up in the Payout account.

To minimize number of reboots on the Windows node, please take a look into Windows Core. It’s a CLI only instance that has the minimal functionality needed for most servers. It’ll greatly help minimize downtime.
